The variety Kolmagiwins, also known as Magical Wintersun, is a dioecious shrub. To form fruits on a female plant, the presence of a male pollinator plant nearby is required; it is recommended that these account for about 10% of the total number of plants in the plot.

The plant tolerates moist soils well, is undemanding in care, and shows resistance to Verticillium wilt. Branches with fruits are suitable for cutting and use in arrangements from October to December.
