Variety description

The Bayou Belle variety (known as LA 07-146) is early-maturing, with a ripening period of 90–100 days. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth with vines 2–2.5 meters long and a pronounced spreading growth habit.
The tubers have smooth carmine-red or red-violet skin and dark orange flesh, which acquires a dense consistency after baking. The product has a sweet taste and high beta-carotene and sugar content.
The variety demonstrates consistently high yields and is capable of forming 3–4 tubers per plant. It is characterized by drought tolerance, the ability to adapt to different soil types, as well as resistance to Fusarium wilt, root and soil rots, and root-knot nematodes.
