The plant belongs to the Dutch iris group. The petal coloration includes a mixture of shades of burnt ochre, bronze, and ruby-red colors with bright yellow spots on the lower petals. The height of the flower stalks varies from 45 to 80 cm, sometimes reaching 1 meter, and the flower diameter is 6–8 cm.
Flowering occurs in May–June. The variety is frost-resistant and withstands temperatures down to -30°C (USDA zone 4a). It prefers sunny sites with good drainage. Due to the height of the stems, it is recommended to plant the plants in areas protected from strong wind to avoid lodging of the flower stalks.
