The plant is a compact rounded shrub 60–90 cm in height. The leaves have a glossy surface and a green-blue hue, which changes to purple-red in autumn. White flowers are gathered in long spicate inflorescences and possess a distinct honey aroma.
The variety blooms in early summer and is characterized by high resistance to diseases and pests. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–9, with flower buds possessing increased frost resistance. The plant tolerates moist soils and shade well, and after establishment exhibits moderate drought tolerance.
In landscape design, the shrub is used for creating borders, mass plantings, decorating coastal zones, container gardening, and growing in small gardens.
