The Chaberte tree is hardy and frost-resistant, suitable for cultivation in elevated areas. Yield data for the variety is inconsistent: some sources characterize it as prolific, while others describe it as a tree with moderate yields.

The fruits are oval in shape, medium-sized, and have a smooth shell. The kernel is light and possesses a pronounced nutty flavor with low astringency, which is why the variety is traditionally in demand for confectionery production.

In modern commercial orchards, the variety is rare, as it lags behind modern commercial varieties in terms of yield and processing efficiency. Currently, it is preserved primarily in collection plantings.
