The Chișinău variety belongs to Moldovan breeding. The tree is characterized as one of the most winter-hardy, and due to late flowering and onset of vegetation, it successfully avoids damage from spring frosts and reduces the risk of infection by a number of diseases.

The variety is self-pollinating. Entering into fruit-bearing occurs in the 6–7th year after planting.
