The tree is large, with a spreading picturesque crown, reaching a height of 10–20 meters with a crown width of 7.5–15 meters. It is characterized by a moderate growth rate of about 25–35 cm per year. The nuts are oval in shape with a flat base and a blunt apex, distinguished by a strong but easy-to-open shell.
The variety is mid-season, with harvesting occurring in October. The tree is self-fertile and productive; flowering occurs late, which allows it to avoid spring frosts. The variety Franquette is recommended as a pollinator.
