The variety was bred at the Fruit Growing Institute in Plovdiv by a group of breeders led by Professor Nedyu Nedev. It was obtained by using methods of controlled sexual hybridization involving Bulgarian and foreign breeding forms.

The variety is classified as promising for industrial fruit growing and is already being introduced into new plantations. Detailed agronomic characteristics, including morphological indicators of the tree and a detailed description of the fruits, are absent in open sources.
