The MB-24 tree is characterized by moderate vigor. Female flowers open in late May or early June, which provides protection for the plant against spring frosts. The variety shows relative resistance to leaf spot caused by Gnomonia leptostyla.

The fruits ripen in the second half of October. They are of medium to large size, cylindrical or round-oval in shape. The shell is light brown, slightly rough, with a pronounced suture. The kernel is easily extracted and is light yellow or light brown in color.

In industrial orcharding, the distribution of the variety is limited due to difficulties in finding suitable pollinators that bloom at similar times. At the same time, MB-24 itself can be used as a pollinator for some other walnut varieties.
