The variety originated in the Seifersdorf area, Germany. It is a vigorous deciduous tree reaching 4–10 meters in height with a crown width of about 7–9 meters. The plant is well adapted to climatic conditions, including mountainous regions, and is self-fertile. Grafted saplings begin bearing fruit in the 4–6th year.

The fruits are medium or large in size and have a round-oval shape. The shell is light, smooth, and easily cracked. The kernel accounts for about 50% of the fruit weight. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, in particular bacterial blight and leaf spot, but due to its tendency to wake up early in spring, it needs protection from late frosts.
