The Eliza variety belongs to the genus Lachenalia and is the result of a breeding program to create commercial ornamental bulbous crops. The plant is primarily intended for use as a pot plant.

The flowers of the variety have a yellow-orange color with a pronounced purple margin. In cultivation, the variety is adapted to the requirements of protected cultivation and the maintenance of bulb commercial quality under the conditions of the Northern Hemisphere.
