The variety was obtained using Lachenalia viridiflora, which provided the characteristic flower coloration. The plant leaves are covered with dark burgundy spots. The variety is less suitable for compact pot cultivation compared to some other representatives of the genus.

The plant is sensitive to light levels; a deficiency causes excessive elongation of the shoots. The use of supplemental artificial lighting promotes the formation of more compact leaves with a high chlorophyll content and contributes to better development of the bulbs and root system.

Flowering occurs in the winter-spring period. To prevent the risk of bulb rot, it is recommended to maintain a cool temperature regime during the winter months.
