The Ronina variety is characterized by slender dark yellow inflorescences. It is an early-flowering hybrid that blooms 2–4 weeks earlier than many red and purple varieties, with the flowering period occurring during the winter-spring season.

The plant has a sympodial modular growth type, with bulb and flower stalk development being highly dependent on the temperature regime. The variety is sensitive to growing conditions, including the quality of irrigation and drainage.
