Inflorescences are dense vertical spikes of tubular flowers, bright pink in color with purple and intensely green tips. Stems are purple. Leaves are lanceolate, fleshy, and often covered with purple-brown spots or stripes.

The plant is compact, reaching a height of 20–30 cm. The variety is winter-blooming; the flowering period occurs between February and May. The crop is heat-loving, does not tolerate frost, and requires protection from waterlogging of the soil to avoid fungal diseases.
