The plant forms a leaf rosette or a loose head 15–35 cm in diameter. Leaves are ruffled, blistered, green at the base with a red-brown "tan" at the edges. The weight of a single plant varies from 160–200 g to 450–750 g at the end of the growing season.
The variety is mid-early or early-maturing, with a growing period of 30–35 to 50–60 days. Yield reaches 2.3–4.0 kg/m². The crop is suitable for cultivation in open field and under plastic covers, preferring moist neutral soils.
The plant is resistant to lodging and bolting, tolerates frosts down to -2°C. The leaves have a crispy texture and a nutty flavor with a slight bitterness.
