The variety forms small but dense heads. The color of the inner leaves is light green, while the wrapper leaves and the "collar" have a characteristic dark red color.
The plant belongs to early-maturing varieties intended for spring and autumn cultivation. The variety has resistance to lettuce downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl1–26.
