The plant forms large upright rosettes approximately 30 cm in height and 35 cm in diameter. The leaves are teardrop-shaped, with a blistered surface and a slightly serrated edge; coloration varies from bright red to green at the base.
The variety possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae), specifically to races Bl 1–16, 19, 21, and 23. It is used in studies on the influence of light conditions on phytonutrient content and demonstrates good post-harvest shelf life.
