The variety belongs to the Salanova type, Crispy Frisee group. The plant forms a compact rosette of shiny, bright green, deeply incised leaves. A structural feature is the ability to obtain many individual leaves with a single cut of the base, which makes the variety suitable for mechanized harvesting.
The presence of the Knox trait provides for the slowing of oxidation and browning of the edges of cut leaves, extending shelf life. The variety possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16–35EU), currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0), and lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
