The Goriziana estiva lettuce, also known by the names Maddalena or Adriatica Agostana, represents a modern selection of a historical variety. The plant has a semi-erect habit; the leaves are characterized by resilience, a light-green color, and a slightly blistered structure.
The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field and is adapted to soils of karst origin. Seeds are sown in seedbeds from April, transplanting to the field is carried out after three weeks, and for continuous harvest, sowing is performed until mid-September.
