The Lobetina variety belongs to the butterhead lettuce type and is intended for cultivation in open field during spring, summer, and autumn periods. The plant forms a voluminous, heavy rosette with a very loose, weakly twisted core, which facilitates the separation of the head into individual leaves even when overmature.
The produce is characterized by a high level of leaf whiteness and good ability to retain quality in the field for a long time. The variety is suitable for the ready-to-eat packaged salad processing industry.
Possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:29–36, 38–40EU), currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0), root aphid, and tomato bushy stunt virus. Exhibits intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus (race 1).
