The variety belongs to the Lollo type and the Salanova category. The plant forms an upright rosette with curly red leaves. In terms of characteristics, Madrigon RZ possesses firmer leaves compared to the Jadigon RZ variety.
The plant has resistance to downy mildew Bremia lactucae (races Bl:1–28), currant-lettuce aphid Nasonovia ribisnigri (biotype Nr:0), and lettuce mosaic virus LMV:1. The variety is intended for the production of leaf products suitable for easy separation into small leaves with a single cut.
