The variety forms loose, compact heads 20–25 cm in diameter and 25–30 cm in height. The leaves are tender and buttery; the outer leaves have a reddish-bronze or purple hue, while the inner ones are pale green or cream. The leaf color intensifies in cool weather.
It is a mid-early variety with a period from germination to technical maturity of 50–60 days. The plant is cold-hardy, capable of withstanding light frosts, and possesses resistance to early bolting, which allows for cultivation over a long season in open field and greenhouses.
