The variety belongs to the Vanguard type and forms large heads with a large wrapper and dark green leaves. The plant is characterized by high reliability of head formation and resistance to bolting.
The variety is adapted for cultivation in desert regions, in particular in California and Arizona, when planted in late September — early October.
