The variety belongs to the Iceberg type and is characterized by high adaptability to cold conditions. The maturity period is about 65 days in a cool climate and increases to 80–85 days in very low temperature conditions.

The plant forms dense heads uniform in size and weight. The variety possesses resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16–27, 29, 32), tolerance to rots, as well as resistance to physiological disorders such as big vein and pink rib.
