The plant forms an open, voluminous head with an upright growth habit, which facilitates mechanical harvesting. The leaves are bright red in color, with a medium degree of dissection and curling, and are attached low at the base, which allows the lettuce to be prepared for consumption with a single cut.
The variety has high resistance to tip burn and bolting. The plant is characterized by high resistance to downy mildew (races 29–41EU) and Tomato bushy stunt virus, as well as intermediate resistance to Fol (races 1, 4).
The variety is adapted to intensive production systems, used for creating blends (Trio-mixes) and for growing 'teen leaf' type products.
