The variety belongs to the crisphead or butterhead lettuce group. It is intended for cultivation both in open field and, in some cases, in protected cultivation.

The plant possesses resistance to a range of Bremia lactucae downy mildew races (Bl: 1–16, 18–24, 27) and lettuce mosaic virus (LMV, strain 2). It is characterized by the formation of a dense, crisp leaf structure.
