The variety belongs to the "batavia" type and is intended for baby-leaf greens production. The plant forms a compact or medium rosette with thick, dark red leaves that retain their color throughout the season. The variety is distinguished by rapid growth and good keeping quality of the produce.
Cultivation is recommended primarily under cover in greenhouses or polytunnels. The variety possesses resistance to downy mildew races Bl:16–26, 28, 31, 32EU, as well as to the lettuce aphid Nasonovia ribisnigri (Pb).
