The variety is early or mid-season, with a vegetation period of 68–72 days from germination or 40–45 days from transplanting. The plant forms a rosette 15–16 cm tall and 30–32 cm in diameter with a closed, dense head. The leaves are tender, slightly wavy, and often have a reddish tinge at the edges.
The taste of the leaves is mild, nutty, with a slight bitterness. The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field and plastic greenhouses; the transplant method is preferred. There are two variants, differing in seed color: black and white.
The variety demonstrates resistance to bolting, but is characterized by susceptibility to Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV), which is why it is often used in scientific research as a reference susceptible sample.
