Vancrisp belongs to the iceberg head type. The plant forms a large leaf rosette and a head with a small core and base. The leaves are characterized by thickness, dark green color, smooth veins, and a pronounced textured surface. The seeds of the variety are black.
The variety has resistance to pink root rot, tip burn, and downy mildew. It also shows tolerance to high and low temperatures. At the same time, the variety is susceptible to big vein disease and is prone to tip burn during late harvesting.
