The Arbelpaso variety, also known by the commercial name Havana, is a compact evergreen subshrub. The plant forms a dense, uniform globe-shaped crown. The fragrant foliage has a silvery-green hue and retains its decorative appearance during the winter period. The height of the mature plant reaches approximately 50 cm.

The flowers of the variety are dark blue-violet in color, and the buds create a visual effect of frost and bicoloration. The plant prefers sunny areas with well-drained, neutral or calcareous soils. The variety is drought-tolerant once established and possesses winter hardiness down to -23...-28°C (zone Z5).

Arbelpaso is used primarily for ornamental purposes: for edging borders, rock gardens, and container planting, as well as for creating dense garden groupings.
