The plant is a small, dense shrub that maintains its shape well. The foliage is evergreen, dense, and gray-green in color. The inflorescences consist of dark purple spikes and characteristic sterile bracts of a wine-purple hue.

The variety shows relative drought tolerance and frost resistance down to -15°C. The flowering period covers most of the year, with two peaks of intensity: from late spring to early summer and from late summer to early autumn. Used in ornamental gardening for planting in containers and borders.
