The plant is a compact, dense, and well-branched shrub with a natural rounded shape. A mature specimen reaches about 50 cm in height and width. The foliage is narrow, with a green or grey-green shade.

The inflorescences have the appearance of burgundy-purple spikes, topped with bright pink bract-wings. The variety is distinguished by a long flowering period, which in mild climates extends into the winter period.

The plant is thermophilic and drought-tolerant, and does not tolerate excessive soil moisture well. It requires planting in full sun in well-drained soil and light pruning after the end of flowering to maintain its shape.
