Variety description

The plant is a compact semi-rounded shrub 40–50 cm tall with evergreen narrow leaves of a greenish-grey shade. The inflorescences are in the form of dense spikes topped with large sterile bracts of a dark purple or violet color.

Flowering of the variety begins in spring, in April-May, and can continue until the end of summer with a possible repeat wave. The plant prefers acidic soils and good drainage. It is used in landscape design for creating borders, mass plantings, rock gardens, and for cultivation in containers.
