Variety description

The variety is an evergreen shrub 75–90 cm tall with grey-green foliage. The plant forms long peduncles 45–60 cm in length, bearing inflorescences of a saturated dark violet color, considered one of the deepest among lavandin varieties.

The variety is resistant to drought and heat, however, it does not tolerate soil waterlogging; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–9. The flowers possess a pure lavender fragrance and retain their original shade well after drying, allowing them to be used for arrangements and sachets.

The plant is used in landscape design for creating hedges and mass plantings. For commercial purposes, the variety is grown for essential oil production and dried flower production; as a hybrid, it has larger size and productivity compared to Lavandula angustifolia.
