The plant has an erect or semi-erect habit, stems are pubescent, leaves are dark green, pinnately compound, often with tendrils. Small white flowers are located on long peduncles. The fruits are light or bright green pods, each containing from 1 to 3 yellowish seeds.
The variety prefers light, permeable and moderately moist soils with a neutral reaction. Early spring sowing is recommended at a depth of 4–6 cm with row spacing of 12–15 cm. Due to slow initial growth, thorough weed control is required, and harvesting begins when the lower pods turn brown.
