The Little Flames variety is a dwarf shrub reaching 30–50 cm in height and 30–40 cm in width. The plant has a dense upright crown and glossy foliage. In late April – May, small white urn-shaped flowers appear on the shrub, gathered in drooping axillary inflorescences.
The plant prefers acidic, humus-rich, well-drained and moist soils, as well as semi-shaded areas. The variety shows winter hardiness down to -20°C, however, it requires protection from severe frosts. In cool and humid spring conditions, the development of fungal leaf spots is possible.
