The variety Delicate Joy, also known as Strawberry Custard, belongs to the Asiatic hybrids (group I according to the RHS classification) and the Joy series, which focuses on compact forms. The plant reaches a height of 25 to 60 cm, has a strong upright stem and well-developed foliage.

The flowers are double, measuring approximately 15 cm in diameter. The color is bicolored: petals are creamy yellow with a pinkish-red or salmon tint on the tips and possible spotting in the center. The variety lacks anthers, which ensures flower sterility.

The flowering period is medium-early; in greenhouse forcing, it is 65–70 days after planting. The variety is versatile in use, suitable for planting in open field in the foreground of flower beds, as well as for container cultivation. It possesses high winter hardiness down to -34 °C.
