The Purple Prince variety belongs to the group of OT-hybrids obtained by crossing Oriental and Trumpet lilies. The plant has an upright, strong stem and does not require staking. The funnel-shaped flowers have a glossy petal texture without spotting; closed buds have an almost black shade.

The height of the lily varies from 120 to 220 cm depending on the age of the bulb. Flowering occurs in the period from July to August, the time from emergence to flowering is 80–90 days. The variety has winter hardiness of USDA zones 3a–4, is resistant to diseases and pests, and is suitable for cut flowers and various types of decorative plantings.
