The Vohnyk variety is an ornamental annual crop. The plant is distinguished by large copper-red flowers, with a dark spot in the center, and two longitudinal white stripes on the lower part of the petals. The plant's seeds are olive-colored.

The variety is valued for its bright coloration and prolonged flowering. The purpose of the crop is exclusively ornamental; it is used for creating landscape compositions and landscaping. The variety does not belong to agricultural types of fiber flax or oilseed flax.
