The Aretha variety belongs to the fiber flax type. It is a spring-sown plant with a late ripening period, reaching a height of approximately 118 cm.

The variety possesses high productivity in fiber and straw yield. Due to its significant stem height, it is susceptible to lodging, which requires the control of nitrogen nutrition during cultivation. The variety is also used in scientific research related to the study of Verticillium wilt.
