The variety belongs to industrial fiber flax. It was created based on genetic material brought from Poland, and in the 1980s, it was one of the dominant varieties in European flax production.

Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and has been displaced from modern mass production by new breeding achievements that possess higher yields and resistance to diseases and lodging.
