The oilseed flax variety Floriana of Romanian origin is characterized by a high oil content in its seeds. Studies conducted under various environmental conditions have confirmed its ability to accumulate a significant volume of fats, with seed oil content reaching 38.9%.
The variety demonstrates a stable fatty acid profile, in particular, the content of alpha-linolenic acid. In agronomic publications, Floriana is often considered within the framework of comparative trials, where biometric indicators such as the number of branches, the number of bolls per plant, and the number of seeds per boll are evaluated.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
