Caribu (also known as Caribu/LI 9796) is a diploid (2n) variety of Italian ryegrass intended for use in forage production.

During state agronomic trials, the variety was evaluated for yield indicators, intensity of initial development, overall growth vigor, winter hardiness, and resistance to diseases.
