The variety is a tetraploid plant forming dense sod. It is distinguished by rapid initial growth and intensive development, possesses high tissue water content, and is characterized as early or medium-early in spring regrowth intensity with a medium heading date.

The plant is used as a forage crop for establishing hayfields and pastures, as well as an intermediate crop suitable for annual or biennial grass stands. The variety is sensitive to severe winters, which limits its longevity in regions with cold climates.
