The variety belongs to the tetraploid type of Westerwold ryegrass and was obtained by crossing several European varieties. The plant is characterized by a mid-late or late maturity group.

The variety possesses good regrowth capacity and high total yield, as well as a high content of energy and protein in the dry matter. It is used as an annual forage crop for harvesting silage, haylage, or green mass, as well as for inclusion in grass mixtures and as a cover crop.
