The variety belongs to tetraploid forms of Westerwold ryegrass and is classified as late-maturing based on the timing of inflorescence emergence after vernalization.

In scientific research, the variety is used as a reference plant when studying pasture mixtures due to its high growth rate and regrowth ability. The biochemical composition is characterized by high values of dry matter digestibility and crude protein content.
