The variety is a tetraploid annual forage crop. The plant forms robust open-type tussocks with thick stems and wide, soft, glossy, dark green leaves. Seeds are large, up to 8 mm in length, heavily awned; their weight is double the seed mass of other ryegrass varieties.
The crop is distinguished by very intensive growth and high productivity, especially in late winter and early spring, surpassing winter cereals and other ryegrass varieties in this indicator. Due to a high concentration of water-soluble carbohydrates, the variety possesses high forage value.
The plant is adapted to fertile soils and conditions with sufficient moisture, demonstrating responsiveness to nitrogen fertilizer application. The primary purpose is to obtain early green fodder in crop rotations. The life cycle is strictly annual.
