The variety belongs to the tetraploid type. It is characterized by a high regrowth rate after mowing and winter hardiness, which allows maintaining stands for up to two years of use. The green mass of the variety is distinguished by an increased sugar content.

The plant is intended for livestock grazing and hay harvesting. The variety «Gaza» is used as a component of grass mixtures in European countries.
