The variety is tetraploid, possessing high growth vigor and profuse tillering. The plant's life cycle is 1–2 years. The variety shows resistance to rust, as well as higher tolerance to heat and drought compared to diploid ryegrass forms.
A distinctive feature of the variety is its property of low regrowth after heading, which allows for the maintenance of vegetative growth and high forage quality during the summer period. The produce is characterized by high sugar content and energy value.
The plant is used for livestock grazing, silage and hay production, and as a cover crop when sowing alfalfa or as an intermediate crop in crop rotations. It is applied for overseeding into existing pastures to obtain early green fodder.
