Filo is a medium-tall diploid variety with an erect growth habit, reaching a height of approximately 108 cm. The plant is characterized by high lodging resistance, cold hardiness, and resistance to the main diseases of the crop.

The variety is distinguished by rapid regrowth after mowing and the ability to lose moisture quickly, which allows for the preservation of forage quality. The recommended seeding rate is 30–40 kg/ha; the optimal time for sowing is September-October.
